How do I do it?
For client work atleast,
it boils down to 6 phases.

Feeling lazy? feel free to use the tracker on the right.

01 EXPLORATION

BASICALLY: An Interview

The Exploration phase is the getting-to-know part, this is the most crucial portion of the process because it helps us to understand each other better and to clarify who we're creating the logo for. This can happen with a face-to-face meetup, call, or a questionnaire I send to you. If you wanna do it all, that's fine by me - we're friends here! I just want to learn more to help more.

02 MOODBOARD

BASICALLY: Logo Pegs & Direction

The Moodboard created comes from the Exploration, and contains key elements such as - the main adjectives to describe the brand, the name, a brief description, a personification of the target market, logo pegs, key visuals, and others to effectively guide the logo design and to properly set the visual landscape for both me and you.

03 SKETCH

BASICALLY: Pen & Paper Time

The Sketch phase is the longest part of the process, and it's because it's when we'll really get to bond! This is where honesty plays a huge role and the back and forth is an important part to ensure that the sketch comes out as the perfect logo. It usually takes around 2-3 rounds, with each round being presented in a PDF file having 3-5 sketch drafts and explanations to go along with them.

04 DIGITAL

BASICALLY: Laptop Time

The Digital phase is the quickest of them all, this is when I take the sketch that was agreed upon and I run it through my best friend, Adobe Illustrator. Here, I clean the logo up, apply colors, measure spacing, and try out different lockups that can work for different applications. When it's all shiny and neat, I present back to you for the two thumbs up.

05 MOCKUPS

BASICALLY: Applying Logo on Photos

The Mockups phase is tons of fun, after the digitalized logo is approved, we try it on different applications to find out how the mark performs in real world scenarios. You can let me know whatever you want to see it on, and I'll make it happen - but some of the usual ones are business cards, letterheads, signages, paper, packaging, etc. Wanna see it as a tattoo on your forehead? Endless possibilities.

06 LOGO GUIDE

BASICALLY: Usage Manual

The Logo Guide is a short PDF that contains information about the brand, reasons behind the logo design, the different lockup sets for the mark, and basic information about proper usage and spacing. This mark will ultimately be the face of your brand, the first thing that people see and will remember you by. Don't ruin that face.
